To improve citizen safety and streamline urban management at one of South Goa’s busiest commercial zones, ITG proposed a smart CCTV-based surveillance and enforcement system for Margao Municipal Council (MMC).
The Smart CCTV Surveillance & Parking Enforcement System for Margao Market is designed to strengthen public safety, improve traffic regulation, and support efficient civic monitoring in one of South Goa’s most active commercial zones. The project implements 49 high-definition IP/PTZ cameras strategically installed across key market junctions and crowded hotspots, all connected to a centralized monitoring control room at the Margao Municipal Council premises for real-time surveillance and enforcement. Along with structured cabling, power connectivity, display systems, operator workstations, and dedicated on-ground personnel for continuous monitoring and challan issuance, the solution also incorporates organized parking management with designated parking zones and fee-collection support to reduce congestion and streamline vehicle movement. Executed under a revenue-sharing model by Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG), the system offers a sustainable and scalable smart-governance framework that enhances citizen convenience, enables faster incident response, and contributes to improved operational efficiency for the municipal administration.
